How to Use Toothpaste to Clean Your Jewelry

There are many methods to clean your fake van cleef & arpels jewelry. For me, I use toothpaste to clean silver jewelry or anything silver. (I have silver cleaning solution but I rarely use it.) Toothpaste contains hydrated silica which is an abrasive and surface stain remover.
Choose a plain, solid-colored toothpaste with no baking soda, tartar control, or whitening agents. These "extras" are too abrasive and can scratch your jewelry. At the same time, however, you'll want to avoid using gel toothpaste because it isn't abrasive enough to remove tarnish.
Squeeze out a little bit of toothpaste. Rub the toothpaste all over the ring. Just like you're washing it but instead of using soap it's toothpaste. I know it seems strange but it works.
Dampen the silver with some water. And then apply a small amount of toothpaste to the jewelry. The next step is to rub the jewelry gently with a damp tissue, paper towel, or q-tip. Use a damp, soft-bristled toothbrush to clean out grooves and intricate designs. Next, you should let the toothpaste sit for about 2 to 3 minutes for stubborn stains. In addition, wipe the residue off with a clean paper towel, tissue, or q-tip. Besides, keep adding toothpaste and rubbing it off until the tarnish is gone. And then rinse the jewelry in warm water. Last but not least, gently pat the jewelry dry with a soft cloth, then let it air-dry before putting it away.
To remove built-up tarnish from your silver, make a thick paste with 1/4 cup baking soda and 2 tablespoons water. Apply with a damp sponge and gently rub, rinse, and buff dry. To polish gold fake van cleef & arpels alhambra bracelet, cover with a light coating of baking soda, pour a bit of vinegar over it, and rinse clean. Note: Do not use this technique with jewelry containing pearls or gem-stones, as it could damage their finish or loosen any glue.
Replica van cleef & arpels necklace with a thick or heavily braided chain will need a little extra effort. Using a toothbrush and white toothpaste, you can scrub the entire chain. Then rinse in warm water and dry it with a cloth. Be sure the cloth doesn’t have any lint.
Keep in mind that some toothpaste brands are more abrasive than others, and depending on the silver alloy used to make your jewelry, the paste can leave some scratches on it. If you are unwilling to risk, then use a silver polish instead. Another option is to prepare a cleaning dip by mixing hot water with a couple of tablespoons of salt and baking soda. Put your fake van cleef & arpels alhambra necklace in the dip and leave it there for several minutes until the tarnish dissolves, and then rinse the piece with water and dry it with a soft cloth.
